The National Weather Service has extended an Extreme Heat Warning for Coconino county through August 12. Heat Warnings are ongoing for Mohave county through August 7 and Cochise, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Maricopa, Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz, Yavapai, and Yuma counties through August 8. Daytime highs up to 11°6F are expected. Public cooling centers are available in some areas. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay informed.

Prescription opioids and illegal opioids like counterfeit pills with fentanyl are addictive and can be deadly. In 2017, a statewide public health emergency was issued in an effort to reduce opioid deaths. We continue to collect opioid data and take action to address the ongoing opioid crisis in our state.
